Choreography

Ian is a graduate of the Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts in London and has a career spanning more than 25 years in theatre, film, TV, and pedagogy. Throughout his journey, he has established himself as a highly regarded choreographer and movement director.

Noteworthy projects include “The Play What I Wrote” with Tom Hiddleston, directed by Sean Foley, Emma Rice’s rendition of “Brief Encounter,” Tim Firth’s official Take That Musical “Greatest Days,” and Isobel McArthur’s 2023 Olivier award-winning play, “Pride and Prejudice* (Sort of),” among others.

Ian has worked extensively in TV and film, with his recent work seen in BBC’s “Princess Mirror Belle,” multiple series of the BAFTA-nominated “The Dog Ate My Homework,” and four series of the BBC hit “Molly and Mack.” His career also extends to directing and choreographing over 15 projects for the Commonwealth Games, music videos, TV commercials , productions for the National Theatre and five National tours of Simon Beaufoy’s award-winning play “The Full Monty”
